Scott found
himself interested in hair very early on in life.
He started sweeping floors at a barbershop in Cleveland’s
Slavic Village at the age of ten. Soon he started
cutting hair of friends and family members. He discovered
a natural talent, and at sixteen he decided to enroll
in cosmetology school at Fairview Academy.
After graduating from high school, Scott
trained as an assistant at Europa International Salon
& Spa in downtown Cleveland. During this time
he had the opportunity to travel to hair shows and
workshops, such as Toni & Guy and Vidal Sassoon.
As his hairdressing skills and industry experience
developed, Scott began building a loyal clientele
of his own, falling further in love with his chosen
career.
In 1998 Scott teamed up with David Petrella
to open David Scott Salon in Great Northern Mall.
Here they created the “David Scott Experience”,
in which all guests are treated with exceptional service
and a welcoming smile.
David Scott Salon was successful and
grew rapidly. In 2005 Scott and David decided to expand
to a larger space within the mall and offer a complete
list of spa services. Today Scott continues to strive
for excellence in his own work and with his salon
team members at David Scott Salon & Spa.

David Petrella

David, co-owner
of David Scott Salon and Spa, is an 18 year veteran
of the salon industry, who prides himself on being one
of the most well-rounded hair designers in the area.
His expertise in all aspects of hair design, allows
him to meet any and all needs of his clients, including
cutting, coloring, highlighting, perming, hair extensions,
formal finishing, updos, makeup and lash extensions.
His unique background in art, photography and dance
gives him a different perspective from most designers.
Hair is another form of "art", that allows
David to use his strong creative abilities, while developing
one of the top salons & spas in Northeast Ohio.
While free-lancing as a makeup artist, David discovered
he had talent to do hair. He attended M'Lord's School
of Cosmetology under the direction of Bob Fazi &
John Ciccoli and received his license in 1990. He has
furthered his education by attending the Vidal Sassoon,
Wella and Graham Webb academies, as well as many hair
shows and seminars. David feels education is the key
to staying current and strives to grow, both as a stylist
and a business owner.
After working locally for 8 years, David decided to
team up with Scott, and opened David Scott Salon, Nov
18th 1998. In Feb 2004, they moved to a new location
to expand the salon and opened the spa. As a true entrepreneur,
David is always looking for ways to improve and develop
the salon/spa to provide exemplary customer service
and raise the barre in the industry. David is very proud
of the team they have and enjoys seeing them grow professionally
and personally.

Angela Varga

Angela has
been with David Scott Salon & Spa since January
2003. Born and raised in Cheshire, England, she graduated
from Liverpool JM University, in 1994 with a BSc in
Psychology and continued her post graduate studies in
Education at Manchester University. After traveling
and working her way around the world, Angela was a 4th
grade teacher for 3 years before eventually transitioning
her career into the business world.
In 2000 Angela and her husband moved to the United
States, where she assumed the position of Division Director
for an international staffing company.
As the manager of David Scott Salon & Spa, Angela
is now excited to be provided with the opportunity to
use her formal education and work experience within
the salon & spa environment, which also enables
her to enjoy a positive work/family balance. |

Kelly has
been with David Scott Salon & Spa for eight
years. After being trained at the Toni & Guy
Hairdressing Academy, she has recently been named
David Scott Salon & Spa’s Educational
Director. Kelly will take on all new assistants
and stylists and teach them advanced cutting, coloring,
formal styling and other techniques. Kelly is extremely
passionate about hairdressing and her desire for
excellence is clearly evident in her work. |

A David Scott Salon & Spa team member since
2000, Brian has worked
hard to become a senior stylist and a leader at
the salon. He prides himself on being a technical
yet creative hairstylist and one who will ensure
your visit to the salon will be comfortable and
enjoyable. In addition to his full-time schedule
at David Scott Salon & Spa, Brian also works
as Director of Research & Development for the
locally operated and nationally distributed hair
care line, Mantra. He travels around the country
educating stylists on product knowledge and trends. |

Debi has thoroughly
enjoyed working at David Scott Salon & Spa since
2002. She credits her success to being able to blend
a variety of techniques that she has acquired over
the 15+ years in the beauty industry. Vidal Sassoon,
Pivot Point and Matrix are a few of the philosophies
to which she has been exposed. Debi believes that
variety is the very spice of life and as a result
enjoys a rich clientele that ranges in age and ethnic
background. Debi invites you to explore the changes
that you have been imagining! |

Dolores started with
David Scott Salon & Spa in 2002. In that time
she has perfected her skills in formal styling,
coloring and cutting, ranging from sleek & sophisticated
to avant-garde. She has participated in many fashion
shows including MOCA, Virginia Marti & Bridal
Fairs. Dolores continues to look forward to sharing
new and updated trends & techniques with her
guests. |

Aimee comes with 16
years of experience in the beauty industry, in which
she specializes in precision cutting & color
techniques with an artistic vision and attention
to detail. She loves working with clients to come
up with styles individualized to their needs. As
a master stylist she keeps up with the latest techniques
and hair trends as they appear on the fashion scene.
Aimee is trained in and has expanded upon several
cutting techniques and continues to improve her
skills through national training with elite educators.
Aimee has done several fashion shows and photo shoots
and enjoys doing styles for weddings and special
occasions. |

Lauren has been working
at David Scott Salon & Spa since June 2004.
Within the last year she has trained with HairDreams,
perfecting the art of lengthening and thickening
the hair. In addition to working with hair extensions,
Lauren enjoys creating shorter hair styles for both
her male and female clientele. Lauren also enjoys
furthering her education by going to hair shows
and bringing the latest trends back to her clients. |

Summer went to cosmetology
school on a full scholarship from Brown Aveda Institute
and graduated as one of the top of her class. Summer
has very long curly hair, which enables her to comfortably
work with length and waves as well as shorter styles.
Summer has been a stylist at David Scott Salon &
Spa since 2004 and is passionate about keeping up
with the latest trends and fashions. Summer loves
to take advantage of the many opportunities of continuing
education that are provided at David Scott Salon
& Spa. |

Serena has been in
the beauty industry since 1999. While she excels
in all aspects of her career, styling for formal
events as well as hair color are her specialties.
To sharpen her skills and stay current on the latest
trends, Serena attends educational events in Cleveland,
Columbus & Chicago every year. With her thorough
consultations, attention to detail & inviting
personality, you will leave the salon feeling great
about yourself & completely satisfied. |

Maria has been a hairstylist
for six years. She graduated from cosmetology school
in 2001 and has attended numerous hair conventions
and seminars since then. In 2007 Maria became certified
as a HairDreams Lengthening and Thickening Extensions
Specialist. She also enjoys doing hair and make
up for bridal parties and is always interested in
learning new trends & techniques. Maria loves
to travel, dance and workout in her free time. |

Angel has been a hairdresser
for fourteen years and it has proved to be a fulfilling
career so far. She continuously attends classes
to ensure that she provides her clients with the
latest styles and trends. Angel feels that it is
important that her clients feel pampered in her
chair and leave feeling their best and confident
that they can duplicate their style at home. |

Mari’s passion
for hair and makeup brought her to David Scott Salon
& Spa in 2007. She comes to us with over four
years of experience and continues to take advanced
courses on hair coloring and cutting to ensure her
clients have access to the latest styles and trends.
Mari specializes in blowouts for people with thick
coarse hair, ensuring that the hair is left soft,
manageable and shiny. Mari’s involvement in
Fashion Shows fuels her creative energy while still
being able to create a soft look for her everyday
clients. |

Tina joined the David
Scott Salon & Spa team in November 2003. After
starting her career in Buffalo, NY in 1997, she
moved to the Cleveland area in 1999. Tina’s
dedication to the industry and desire to succeed
paved the way for her recent involvement in the
Canadian-born product line, AG Cosmetics. Tina trained
with AG in Chicago & Vancouver and now teaches
product knowledge and cutting classes in Ohio and
the surrounding states. Since Tina has been at David
Scott Salon & Spa, she has worked her way to
becoming one of the top stylists in the area, always
smil ing, friendly & looking to meet new clients. |

After graduating from Fairview Beauty Academy
in 2002, Michael worked
with Aveda for three years. Since he joined David
Scott Salon & Spa in 2005, Michael has had many
opportunities to represent the salon at bridal fairs,
high school prom assemblies and high profile fashion
shows. Michael has also worked as an Image Maker
Consultant for Philip Pelusi, where as an educator,
he was required to educate other stylists about
the product line, participate in photo shoots and
direct a runway show. Michael enjoys everything
music, from singing Karaoke to dance and musical

Jenni has been in the
hair industry for fifteen years. She is a firm believer
in continuing education and has trained under the
industry’s best national and international
educators. Jenni has managed and trained for a variety
of salons, but is happiest behind the chair where
she is passionate about cutting, coloring and formal
styling. She is talented, professional and is constantly
expanding her knowledge and updating her techniques
in the beauty industry. |

Bridget has been with
David Scott Salon & Spa for five years. She
is one of our more outgoing stylists who has a creative
and artistic perspective on doing hair. Bridget
attended Fairview Beauty School & The Graham
Webb Cutting Academy in Washington DC and has been
certified with the Ohio Board of Cosmetology since
2002. Bridget’s primary reason for entering
the beauty industry was to help people feel good
about the way they look. She specializes in coloring,
cutting & extreme cutting edge styles. |

Christie is a valued
stylist & makeup technician at David Scott Salon
& Spa. She has proven herself as a talented
salon professional and has consistently demonstrated
confidence behind the chair. Christie is also an
Image Maker Consultant with Philip Pelusi, which
enables her to exhibit her excellent public speaking
ability, as well as gaining more industry knowledge
beyond the salon. Christie particularly enjoys coming
back to David Scott Salon & Spa and sharing
new techniques and product knowledge that she has
learned. |

Margo is the newest
member of the David Scott Salon & Spa team.
Raised in Lakewood, Ohio, Margo attended the Cleveland
Academy of Cosmetology and was able to experience
first hand the transition in the beauty industry
from women-only roller-set salons to the highly
technical services offered today. She has attended
countless seminars including most recently, a week-long
Wella hands-on color class in New York City and
Vidal Sassoon Hair Cutting techniques in Santa Monica,
CA. Margo prides herself on working with each client
as a partner, considering their skills along with
hers so that they can duplicate their style daily. |

Angie
began her career in the beauty industry as a receptionist
over 10 years ago. After working in the industry
for a short while, her interest grew and she attended
Fairview Beauty Academy where she obtained her
Nail Technician’s license. In 1998 she joined
the David Scott Salon & Spa team and has continued
to expand her services. After attending the National
Institute of Massotherapy, Angie received her
medical board license in Massage Therapy in 2003
and is also certified in pregnancy massage. Angie
has recently been promoted to Spa Coordinator. |

Gena began her career
at David Scott Salon & Spa as a receptionist
in 2002. However, once in the salon environment,
her interests shifted to skin care. As a result,
Gena attended The Paul Mitchell Academy and graduated
with a license in esthetics. She is now a certified
trainer for PhD Waxing and in January 2007, she
was invited to Los Angeles to demonstrate the
PhD Waxing System. Whether you have specific issues
to address with your skin or you just want to
pamper yourself, Gena is here to advise and assist
you. |

Pisamai has been
a dedicated and conscientious member of the Spa
team since 2004. Originally from Thailand, where
she was a Registered Nurse and Midwife, Pisamai
moved to the US thirty two years ago. She has
been focusing on skin care for the past 6 years
and is continually expanding her knowledge and
qualifications by attending classes and seminars
around the country. Pisamai’s goal is to
help people with problem skin look and feel better
by using the latest and most effective techniques
and services. |

Kellyann began working
in the beauty industry in 1994 as a front desk
receptionist. It was at this time that she decided
that she wanted to pursue a career as a Nail Technician
and graduated school with her Manicurist license
in 1995. Kellyann has been a member of the David
Scott Salon & Spa team since 2004 and specializes
in natural nail manicures and pedicures. |
 |
Tina is our most
recent addition to the Spa team. She attended
Eastern School of Hair Design in Richmond, KY
and has been a nail technician since 2000. Her
specialty is acrylic nail enhancements and enjoys
making her guests feel good about how their hands
and feet look and feel. Tina is currently studying
reflexology and hopes to add some of those techniques
to her manicures and pedicures. |

Jeanine
has been with David Scott Salon & Spa since
February 2004. She grew up in Lakewood, Ohio and
has recently moved to Westlake with her husband
Brandon. As a valued member of our Guest Services
team, Jeanine has devoted her hard work and bubbly
personality to the salon & spa. Jeanine is also
a licensed cosmetologist and began her career at
David Scott Salon & Spa as a stylist before
she decided to pursue other aspects of the salon
business. |
 |
Vanda has been a member
of the David Scott Salon & Spa guest Services
team since July 2005. Previous to coming to David
Scott Salon & Spa, Vanda worked as a make-up
artist for Estee Lauder. Vanda was born and raised
in Romania and moved to the US in 1994. She attended
high school in Lakewood, and later attended the
Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester,
NY, where she studied accounting. |

Melissa joined the
Guest Services team at David Scott Salon & Spa
in August 2007. She moved back to the Cleveland
area after working at the spa in the Luxor Hotel
& Casino, Las Vegas NV for three years. Melissa
attended Concordia University in Wisconsin, where
she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology
and attended graduate school at UNLV in Las Vegas
for one year. She is planning on finishing school
and earning a master’s degree in counseling,
all while exploring a career in the salon and spa
industry. |

Sam is currently a
junior at Baldwin-Wallace College. She is majoring
in Public Relations with a minor in Communication
Studies and has hopes to one day become an event
planner. Sam has been working at David Scott Salon
and Spa since 2007 and is thoroughly enjoying her
experiences. The salon has allowed her to further
her people skills as well as open her eyes to all
the creativity and talent that goes into a salon! |

Jenny has been with
David Scott Salon & Spa since September 2005.
She comes to us with a background in education.
While taking time off from teaching to raise her
children, Jenny enjoys her role as a member of the
guest Services team. She remains active in her work
with children as she tutors, develops educational
products, and manages a family health and wellness
website. |
 |
After graduating from Olmsted Falls High School,
Jessica began her career
at David Scott Salon & Spa in 2007. Since working
within the salon environment, she has been inspired
to gain her cosmetology license at Vanity Beauty
School. Jessica is currently attending school on
a full time basis, and looks forward to graduating
as a hairstylist next year. |
 |
Shari joined the David
Scott Salon & Spa team in July 2007. She graduated
from Bowling Green State University with a major
in MIS and worked at Lincoln Electric for ten years.
Shari has stayed at home, raising her two children
since 2002, as well as doing nurse staffing work
from home. |
